All the HOD(s) are informed that the candidates whose fee challans are submitted till 25/09/2021 (Due Date) 04:00 p.m. but they could not submit their forms finally must be entertained for test and admission purposes.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
All the candidates are directed to appear in the entry test as per date, time and venue given in the advertisement/given by the departments by observing all SOP’S of COVID-19 of Govt. of the Punjab and instructions of NCOC, Govt. of Pakistan. The following documents are mandatory:
1. Original ID Card
2. Copy of acknowledgement receipt of online admission for submission
In case of failure of any above requirement, they are not allowed to appear in the entry test.

Online Form is available at http://admissions.pu.edu.pk , http://111.68.103.22/admissions w.e.f. 06-09-2021. The candidate will submit his/her online form  along with scanned copies of academic certificates upto 25-09-2021 (4:00 p.m.) and the Written Test/Interview will be held in the concerned department (by observing all Covid-19 SOP’s) at the time and date given above / as informed by the department.

Eligibility:
For MS / M.Phil / Equivalent:
I.
BS (Hons.) 4 years/ M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent in the relevant subject from a HEC recognized University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) as  per HEC and PU rules.
  No third division in the whole career
For PhD:
II.
BS (Hons.) 4 years/ M.A. / M.Sc. / B.Sc (Hons.) 4 years / B.Sc. (Engg) degree or equivalent from a HEC recognized University (At least 16 years of education; 130 credit hours) with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0 / first division as per HEC and PU rules.
III.
MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg / Hons.) or equivalent degree with minimum CGPA ≥ 3.0 out of 4.0 / first division as per HEC  and PU rules.
IV.
No third division in the whole career
V.
CGPA on a scale other than 4:00 will be converted accordingly
VI.
Candidates without thesis in MS/MPhil/equivalent can be admitted but they have to complete deficiency of 06 credit hours research thesis.
•
Subject eligibility criteria of individual disciplines will be provided by the relevant Board of studies/DDPC of  Department / Institute / College / Centre / School before the admission.
•
The candidates must have to qualify the written test with 70% marks for PhD and 50% for MS/M.Phil/Equivalent.
•
The candidates must have to qualify the interview with 50%
•
Marks 40 are reserved for academic qualification (merit formula table is available at www.pu.edu.pk/dpcc) to be added in the merit.
•
The admission regulations of MS / M.Phil. / M.Sc. (Engg./Hons) /equivalent/ Ph.D. can also be obtained from the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College / School. For further information, please contact the respective Department / Institute / Centre / College / School.
•
Processing and examination fee i.e. Rs.500/- must be deposited through online Bank challan form generated during application submission.
•
 Application received (online) after due date will not be entertained.
•
Candidates waiting for the result of 8th Semester BS / 4th Semester M.A / M.Sc can apply and have to provide the result notified by the Controller of Examinations or concerned department before test date. Otherwise, they will not be considered for written test and admission.
•
Equivalence from PU is required. Qualification from Institutions other than the University of the Punjab will be equalized by the Equivalence Committee of the University of the Punjab. Candidates have to apply well in time to Equivalence Cell, PU and must provide the same before interview.
•
Equivalence of Degrees Awarded by the chartered foreign universities will be also required from HEC Pakistan. PU equivalence is also required.
•
Candidate in job should provide NOC from his/her employer will date of interview, who fail to submit will not be included in the merit list.
•
A foreign candidate should apply through his/her Home Country’s Embassy or Consulate and Pakistan Mission/s Abroad office (in case of Overseas Pakistani). NOC and equivalence of degrees from HEC required.
NOTE:
Date, Time and Venue of Entry test for admission in PhD and M.Phil Communication Studies will be communicated by School of communication studies. Candidate may contact with school for any related query at 042-99231225, 99230518.
