Lahore: (Tuesday, February 11, 2025):- The Punjab University Career Counseling & Placement Centre (CCPC) held a successful job fair which is considered as a largest event to date. It was hosted at the Law College Ground (PULC). This event aimed at providing students with enhanced career opportunities. The event saw participation from a large number of students, faculty members, and notable figures from the university, organizations and political figures.
Prominent attendees included Chairman, Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan, Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali, Provincial, Vice President of Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Khalid Usman, Chief Manager State Bank, Mr. Tariq Riaz, Director General University of the Punjab, Mr. Rehan Sadiq Shaikh, CCPC Director, Dr. Fouzia Hadi Ali, Addressing the attendees, PU VC Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali praised the participation of renowned companies at the job fair. He highlighted the importance of such events in guiding students toward their future careers and commended the efforts of Dr. Fouzia Hadi Ali and his team for organizing the fair.
Dr. Fouzia Hadi Ali expressed his gratitude towards the Vice-Chancellor for his support and described the job fair as a productive initiative, benefiting students by providing valuable job opportunities. He emphasized the positive impact of fostering cooperation between educational institutions and industries on Pakistan's economy and Punjab University students.
The job fair featured 80-plus companies that set up their stalls, conducting interviews, recruitment tests, and collecting CVs from prospective candidates. The event concluded with the distribution of shields and certificates to the organizers, company representatives, and volunteers in recognition of their contributions.
Overall, the job fair was a significant step toward bridging the gap between academia and industry, aiming to enhance the employability of Punjab University students and contribute to the nation's economic development.
