About Us

The Group of Gravitation and Cosmology exists as a research center within the Department of Mathematics in University of the Punjab which is the pioneering group in Pakistan working in the field of relativistic astrophysics with a good track record of participation in National and International collaborations/conferences, playing an important role in the study of theoretical aspects of Einstein’s gravity.

Many of the key ideas in modern cosmology and gravitational theory originated within this group, including key contributions in modified gravity theories. Our aim is to present new theories of our universe which are both mathematically consistent and observationally testable.

The group draws heavily on its faculty in cosmology and gravitation. Our aim is to present new theories of our universe which are both mathematically consistent and observationally testable.
