About the Journal
JAMAL is an open peer-reviewed journal committed to publish high-quality, original research under the patronage of College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. The journal is unique in its subject as it enjoys a pioneer position in the studies related to Art and Design of Pakistan. Moreover, it aims to provide a platform to both grounded and emerging artists and designers of Pakistan so that their artworks and designs can add value to the world art scene.

Aims and Scope
Although the foremost aim of JAMAL is providing a long-awaited platform to the artists and designers of Pakistan, however considering the rich mutual legacy with other countries of South Asia; India, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, Bhutan, and Sri Lanka its scope shall be extended to artists and designers of these countries of the region too.
Peer Review Policy
University of the Punjab, Lahore is committed to uphold integrity, thus through the peer-review policy it maintains the highest standards of review. Initially the paper is assessed for suitability by the editor and then it undergoes the process of double-blind peer review by anonymous referees.
Publication Frequency
JAMAL was first published in 2012. It is bi-annual journal and issues shall be released in June and December.
