Dear Friends and Colleagues,
You will be pleased to know that we are once again in the process of bringing out Volume 1, 2022 of JAMAL a journal by the College of Art and Design, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan under the patronage of Principal Dr Sumera Jawad.

The publication of this journal will be important in the sense that it will provide a much-needed research platform to all artists/designers and art historians of Pakistan and will include articles on all major disciplines of Art and Design. Moreover, it will offer diverse forms of research that shall include original research articles, portfolios, short reports, reviews, and book reviews. In short, the main purpose of this journal would be not only to ensure a better Pakistani presence on the world art scene but will help us to document the various forms of art produced within our country by several artists, who remain unknown. Furthermore, it will provide a platform to many art history students, who would help to shape our much-needed version of history.

Therefore, we request you to kindly contribute to the upcoming issue of JAMAL , which is planned to be published shortly. The manuscript may cover any aspect of art and design from ancient to recent times.

To contribute you are requested to send your papers (both in word file and pdf) to the Editor by Nov. 20th, 2022, via email id jamal.cad@pu.edu.pk. However, an early response shall be appreciated as it will help us start processing the submissions without delay.
