1.    Professor Ismail H Abdullahi

Dr. Abdullahi is a professor of Global Library and Information Science at the School of Library and Information Sciences at North Carolina University. Before joining the faculty at North Carolina Central University School of Library and Information Sciences he was a tenured professor at Clark Atlanta University School of Library and Information Science 1992-2005. Dr. Abdullahi received his Ph.D. in Library and Information Science at the University of Pittsburgh in 1989. He is among the longest and most distinguished serving person in the American Library Association (ALA) and the International Federation of Library Association and Institutions (IFLA). He has served as Chairperson for numerous ALA Committees, including ALA Nominating Committee, the ALA International Relations Committee, The Diversity Committee, and Education Committee and since 2003 as a Councilor-at-Large. In 2017 ALA Annual Conference he was elected by the Council to serve on Committee on Committees for 2017-2018.   2.    Prof. Miguel Baptista Nunes

Prof. Miguel Baptista Nunes, BSc, MSc, PhD, FHEA, FBCS, is a Professor and the Dean of the School of Information Management at Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China. Prior to this appointment Miguel, was at the Information School of the University of Sheffield in the UK for 23 years, 20 of those as a permanent member of academic staff (faculty). Miguel’s research interests are centred on information systems, knowledge management and information management, specifically on areas such as information systems modelling, information systems design and development; database design and development; project management; risk management; and information systems change management. Miguel has also an historical interest in e-learning, particularly in social constructivist approaches to curriculum and course design, instructional systems design; and web based learning environments for active and distance learning. He has published more than 200 refereed articles in both academic journals and conferences; published a book on action research for e-learning and served as chair for a number of International conferences. Miguel has also participated in several EU, UK and lately Chinese funded projects. Miguel is also the current Chair of the Asia-Pacific iSchools Chapter as well as the Chair of the Asia-Pacific ASIS&T Chapter. He is also a Fellow of the British Computing Society and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy in the UK.

  3.    Prof. Abebe Rorissa

Abebe Rorissa is an Associate Professor in the Department of Information Studies, College of Engineering and Applied Sciences, University at Albany. Prior to joining the University at Albany in September 2005, Dr. Rorissa worked in Ethiopia, Lesotho, Namibia, and the US as a lecturer/instructor and professional librarian (systems/automation). Since September 1988, he has taught courses in library and information sciences, information technology, mathematics, research methods, and statistics. Dr. Rorissa has published in major LIS journals, served as proceedings editor, program committee member, and reviewer for several journals as well as national and international conferences. He served or serving in several leadership positions, including, member of the Board of the Association for Information Science and Technology(ASIS&T) & the ASIS&T SIG Cabinet Steering Committee, Chair & Officer of ASIS&T’s SIG III, and member of advisory board of several publications by professional organizations. His honors include winning the ASIS&T SIG Member of the Year Award & University at Albany Provost’s Fellowship.
