Director ORIC
Welcome to the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), established to promote the
culture of research among faculty members and students of the University. The role of Office of Research,
Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) is to assist the University's research initiatives strategically and
operationally. The ORIC supports patenting and commercialization of the University's numerous publications and
research projects that are referenced in several international periodicals. In close cooperation with the financial
administration, ORIC supports the creation of business plans to promote an entrepreneurial culture in students in
preparation for future business community. It offers linkages and a platform where representatives from business,
agriculture, and industry can engage with Punjab University's faculties / researchers and develop creative
strategies to shrink the national economy's gaps in energy, engineering and its main core areas, industrial quality
and production, better crop yields, climate change, healthcare, education, computer science and its related areas
as well as human resource development.
