Frequently Asked Questions about
MENTAL HEALTH HELPINE
1)
Talk? I can talk to a friend/family for free-why seek mental health services?
Your friend may listen and support you but is not trained and skilled to out rout what is really troubling you relating to COVID-19.
2)
How often I am expected to call?
This may vary from person to person and according to the nature of the problem.
3)
What about the confidentiality of the information I provide?
Any information you provide will be kept completely confidential, except for obligatory, disclosure or permitted by Law
4) How long will the session last?
As this is a mental health helpline sessions are typically between 10 minutes and 20 minutes. But it may be shorter or longer, depending upon the problem and type of management being advised.
5)
What is needed from you for the advice to work?
It can only work if you are willing to put in effort to heal yourself.
6) I tried psychological management for my concerns before but had no success. Will it work this time?
At times the chemistry with the therapist does not match; switching psychologist and treatment modality is needed to achieve success.
