The COVID-19 MENTAL HEALTH HELP LINE is a national helpline set up by the Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, Lahore during the wake of coronavirus crisis. The volunteer psychologists will provide free and confidential mental health support to people in emotional distress 7 days a week. Institute of Applied Psychology is committed to address the mental health issues due to COVID-19. Coronavirus and lock down poses a range of challenges for individuals and families. The situation is stressful for everyone and it is normal to be anxious and worried. This helpline aims to provide information and suggestions about how to cope in this difficult times. This helpline is not intended to be a resource for people who require screening for COVID-19 or are experiencing a mental health crisis. The mental health helpline will only cater for psychological needs related to coronavirus, we will not be dealing with already diagnosed patients with psychological concerns. We suggest such patients to continue their therapy with their respective mental health professionals. If you are experiencing a mental health crisis and cannot find a mental health professional our volunteers will refer you to respective mental health professionals after doing the initial screening.
