Prof. Yaşar Tonta
Prof. Tonta holds graduate degrees in library and information studies from the University of California at Berkeley (Ph.D.), the University of Wales (M.Lib.), and Hacettepe University (M.A.). His research focus is on information retrieval, networked information services, open access and bibliometrics. He served as the founding director of ULAKBIM (www.ulakbim.gov.tr). He published several papers, edited/guest-edited a few journals, and helped organize international conferences. He received Hacettepe University’s Science Award (2010).
