Program Introduction:
The MS Industrial Engineering and Management program, which started in 2011, is designed to prepare graduates for advanced professional, managerial, and research roles in modern industrial, service, and technology-driven organizations. The program integrates the analytical foundations of industrial engineering with contemporary management practices, enabling students to design, evaluate, improve, and optimize complex systems involving people, processes, technology, information, and resources.
The curriculum emphasizes key areas such as lean six sigma, operations management, supply chain management, systems optimization, quality engineering, project management, decision sciences, data analytics, productivity improvement, sustainability, and digital transformation. Through a blend of advanced coursework, applied problem-solving, and research-based learning, students develop the technical, analytical, and leadership capabilities required to improve organizational performance and support evidence-based decision-making.
Graduates of the program are prepared to contribute effectively across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare systems, energy, construction, consulting, information technology, public-sector organizations, and academia. With its focus on innovation, operational excellence, sustainable systems, and strategic management, the MS Industrial Engineering and Management program equips students to lead process improvement, manage complex projects, and address emerging challenges in competitive national and global environments.
Program Objectives:

To contribute and advance theoretical and practical knowledge in the disciplines of Industrial Engineering & Management.
2.
To provide a platform for Industrial Engineering & Management related cutting-edge research.
3.
To solve existing issues and devise strategies related to Industrial Engineering & Management in general, especially, related to the Pakistan and the region.
4.
To prepare professional researchers to meet the needs of all public and private sectors for Industrial Engineering & Management.
5.
To extend the Industrial Engineering & Management research and service capabilities to the public and private organizations.

Entry Requirements:
BE, BSc/BS Engineering (16 years) recognized by Pakistan Engineering Council.
Candidates must have a valid PEC number.
Admission requirements as set by the University of the Punjab (time to time) must be met.
