Prof. Dr. Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry is a distinguished educationist, researcher, academic leader, and teacher educator currently serving as the Director of the Institute of Education and Research (IER), University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. With an extensive career in higher education, he has made significant contributions to educational research, teacher education, curriculum development, educational leadership, and quality assurance.
As Director of IER, Prof. Dr. Abdul Qayyum Chaudhry has provided visionary leadership in strengthening teacher education, promoting research excellence, and fostering national and international academic collaborations. Under his dynamic leadership as a Director, IER has ranked No.1 institute in Pakistan and ranked 401 in the world according to QS subject ranking and Times Higher Education Ranking.
The Institute has organized numerous international conferences, research seminars, faculty development programs, and policy dialogues on contemporary issues including artificial intelligence in education, climate change, educational technology, teacher professional development, and educational reforms.
