Mr. Asim Amjad is an academic and practitioner of industrial engineering and management with interests in ergonomics, human factors, sustainability, lean improvement, operations research, supply chain modeling, and simulation. He is a lecturer at the Institute of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of the Punjab, where he teaches undergraduate and graduate courses. Mr. Amjad has contributed to the development of key industrial engineering laboratories, including those in ergonomics, work process design, and quality inspection, and has supported Pakistan Engineering Council accreditation-related activities. Mr. Amjad is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Design and Manufacturing Engineering at the National University of Sciences and Technology (NUST) in Islamabad. He previously earned his MS and BS in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of the Punjab, graduating as one of the top performers in his cohort. His Ph.D. research focuses on ergonomics and human factors for sustainability, and he has worked closely with senior researchers in this area. Beyond research and teaching, Mr. Amjad is actively involved in professional capacity building. He has delivered multiple hands-on training sessions on MS Excel (business intelligence and dashboard reporting), simulation tools, and engineering software. He has also developed online Microsoft Excel courses that are accredited by a UK awarding body (Exemplar Global Inc.). Additionally, he serves as a reviewer for several top-ranked journals. |
