Dr. Samreen Riaz known as renowned scientist, teacher and researcher in medical health sciences top 2% scientist in the world ranking 2022,2023,2024 having more than 200 original research articles in national and International journals and 10 chapters in books and achieved high impact factor (100 above) with over 25 years distinguished scientific career, thus recognized the Govt. of the Pakistan in 2009 as Star Laureate civil award in category of women education working.. She has won many other awards in International and national level research fellows M.Phil (Commonwealth scholarships), (PH.D SBS HEC 2005), research awards (2000-2020), talent scholarships (1995-2013), young investigator award (Canada 2009) and grants (HEC, PU, PSF, IDF, ADA) Familycon 15 years achievements gold medals 2025, Diabetes Management and therapy appreciation certificates from American Diabetes Association (ADA, USA) and International Diabetes Federation (IDF, UK) and awarded European and American accredential credit. She was awarded gold medal three times in B.Sc from Punjab University Lahore. M.Sc. and M.Phil from GCU Lahore with role of honour and Appreciation certificates. She has produced many B.S. MSc, MS, MPhil and Ph.D research graduates and presented research work at national and international flora more than 1000 times. Currently she is working as Associate Professor in University of the Punjab Lahore and she also working as Co-chairperson in the Pakistan Academy of Family Physician (PAFP) Familycon, She also serving as Ambassador of diabetes for south east Asia from International Diabetes Federation UK since 2021 to date. She is also Director of Riaz Diabetes Research Center In Pakistan since 2023 to date.
