Dr. Ammara Khalid
Dr. Ammara Khalid is a distinguished faculty member in the Department of Microbiology and Molecular Genetics (MMG). She holds both BS and MS degrees in Bioinformatics, which provided the foundation for her advanced research career. In 2023, she successfully completed her PhD from IMMG, where her thesis integrated Bioinformatics and Molecular Genetics to explore novel insights into Leukemia. Her academic journey reflects a strong commitment to bridging computational biology with molecular sciences. Since 2018, she has served as a Lecturer, and in 2023, she was appointed as an Assistant Professor (Adhoc), further solidifying her role as an educator and researcher.
Dr. Khalid has extensive teaching experience and has supervised a significant number of BS and MS students, guiding their research in areas such as in-silico drug designing and mutational analysis of genes. Her dedication to mentorship and scholarship has contributed to the growth of young scientists in the field. At the core of her work lies Bioinformatics, an invaluable tool for data analysis in molecular genetics, enabling breakthroughs with wide-ranging applications across biology.
