Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz Akram


Dr. Muhammad Sarfraz Akram has been serving in academia since 2007, contributing actively to teaching, research, and academic development in the fields of Chemical and Energy Engineering. He earned his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Punjab, focusing on kinetic modeling, reactor design, and simulation of the Liquid Organic Hydrogen Carrier (LOHC–MTH) system. He has been associated with the Institute of Energy and Environmental Engineering since 2019 and previously served at the Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology, University of Gujrat, and COMSATS University Islamabad.
His teaching and research interests span both theoretical (modeling and simulation) and experimental domains, emphasizing hydrogen storage (LOHC), heterogeneous catalysis, sustainable energy, and reaction engineering. Dr. Akram has experience in IChemE and Washington Accord–based Outcome-Based Education (OBE) implementation, playing a key role in achieving PEC accreditation for engineering programs.
Dr. Akram is a registered member of the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) and the Pakistan Institute of Chemical Engineers (PIChE).
