Introduction
Professor Dr. Saba Irshad obtained her M.Sc, M.Phil and Ph.D in Biochemistry from Department of Biological Sciences Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. She has also received a gold medal in her M.Phil from Quaid-e-Azam University Islamabad. She did a one year Post doctorate on the molecular genetics of rare genetic disorders from Columbia University, New York, USA. She was the awardee of HEC Post Doctoral Fellowship. She has executed a number of research projects in the School of Biochemistry and Biotechnology, University of the Punjab. She is not only teaching MSc, MPhil and PhD courses but also supervising M.Phil and Ph.D students in School of Biochemistry and Biotechnology. She has supervised 08 PhD students, 40 MPhil and numerous MSc / BS research students in SBB, Punjab University. Dr. Irshad has made a significant research impact, her work spans on Genetics and Genomics. Currently she is working in collaboration with international research scientists on neurodevelopmental disorders and rare genetic disorders. She is working in collaboration with professional medical doctors, and affected families with genetic disorders for their genetic counselling and disease awareness. |
