Oral Presentation Guidelines

Each presenter will have 8 minutes for oral presentation along with 2 minutes for question answer session from audience.

Prepare your power point presentation containing a maximum of 15 slides.

Font size of all headings shall be a minimum of 40 pt. Font size of text shall be a minimum of 28 pt.

If you’re the presenter, please upload your presentation 15 minutes prior to the session at the computer in your conference room. Students will be around to assist you. Please notify the session chair of your presence.

Not all laptops in the session halls are similar, so if you intend to play a video, please know that there is a possibility that it could become difficult to do so.

Not all computers will have a (wireless) presentation pointer, we ask presenters to bring their own pointer if they prefer to use it.

We wish all presenters good luck with the preparations of their contributions. We look forward to the inspiring presentations and discussions during the conference!

E-Poster Guidelines

E-Poster should be in landscape orientation with a screen ratio of 16:9.

As an example, to adjust your slides orientation and ratio in PowerPoint 2007/2010 follow these steps:

1. Select Design from the menu tab

2. Click on Page setup and select On-Screen Show (16:9) as well as Landscape.

The font size depends on the default width and height that is selected according to the above settings. Different values might require a smaller/larger font size. The maximum allowed size is 80x45cm.

The presentation must be in the PPT or PPTX format to be accepted (Windows), and should be submitted in PDF format until 2nd February on icap2019.abstarct@pu.edu.pk.

Limitations: As the poster is treated as a single poster presentation you should not have additional slides – only one. The file size should not exceed 16 Megabytes. Images and animations: Avoid overlapping, animated objects or serial animations.

Font type:Please use Times New Roman or Arial.

Font size: The font size should be 14pt or bigger.

Images and tables:

  • You are welcome to use images and tables in your presentation
  • All graphs and tables must be embedded in your file and have titles
  • Avoid animated GIF files and be careful to respect copyright and personal anonymity with your images or photos
  • Do not insert or embed any videos in your presentation.

Our displays are 50- inch wide screen monitors. The PowerPoint templates are set to the exact dimensions of our screens, so what you see in PowerPoint will match exactly to what you see on our monitors. If the monitor on your computer is a different size or aspect ratio, you *may* experience some distortion when you view your presentation, as power point always has to scale the presentation to fit the screen it is being displayed on.

How and where will they be displayed at the conference?

The e-posters will be in their own area in the exhibition hall. The e-poster area will consist of five large screens. We also advise that either you or a colleague are near the e-poster area for the duration of your poster viewing slot, on the appropriate day, in order to answer questions from fellow delegates.
