Usman Saleem received his PhD in the field of theoretical physics from the Department of Physics, University of the Punjab Lahore in 2007. As a graduate student, he obtained his MSc (1998-2000) and MPhil (2000-2002) degrees from the Government College University Lahore. He joined the Department of Physics University of the Punjab Lahore in 2008. In 2009, he was awarded Higher Education Commission (HEC) postdoctoral fellowship and done his research as a postdoctoral fellow at Department of Physics and Astronomy, University of Rochester New York USA (2009-2010).
His research interest includes investigation of integrability of the non-linear dynamical systems, integrable systems, supersymmetry, non-commutative geometry, soliton theory etc. He has published several publications in reputed international ISI recognized journals such as European Physical Journal C, Journal of Physics A, Modern Physics Letters A, Communications in nonlinear science and numerical simulations, Journal of mathematical analysis and applications simulation, Journal of physical society Japan etc.. He has supervised several MPhil research students.
