Dr. Maria Isabel Maldonado has made valuable discoveries and contributions in the fields of Urdu and other languages of Pakistan as well as English and Spanish linguistics. She is the recipient of the Fatima Jinnah National Pride Award (2021) and various gold medals. She has worked at Kinnaird College for Women, University of Management and Technology and University of Lahore as well as with the Ministry of Education on international language projects and has published 37 national and international articles and 8 books. She has supervised 22 Mphil theses and 8 PhDs.
