BS English (Literature) Self-Supporting

Bachelor of Studies in English Literature is a comprehensive four-year undergraduate program designed to provide students with extensive understanding of English Literature. This program blends a rich curriculum with a variety of courses that cover different literary periods, genres, and critical theories, as well as the study of discourse, creative non-fiction, and translation studies.
Students explore works of significant authors and movements, from classical literature to contemporary writings, and engage in critical analysis and interpretation of texts. Throughout the program, students have opportunities for interdisciplinary learning, as they are encouraged to draw connections between literature and other fields such as philosophy, psychology and cultural studies. Students are encouraged to conduct research and compose multimedia presentations which help in improving their presentation and communication skills. The program emphasizes development of strong analytical, writing, and research skills, preparing students for diverse career paths in education, writing, editing, publishing, public relation, and media industry.
In addition to classroom learning, BS English (Literature) program offers various co-curricular activities, including writing workshops, public speaking events, dramatic enactments, and seminars allowing students to engage with local and international figures and enhance their practical skills. The Self-Supporting program of Bachelor of Studies in English Literature is different in terms of fee structure and timings. Otherwise teachers, syllabus and standards of evaluation are same.
