Dr. Adnan Mujahid is a Professor of Chemistry at the School of Chemistry, University of the Punjab, Lahore. He completed his M.Sc. in Chemistry from the University of the Punjab and earned his PhD (Dr. rer. nat.) in Chemistry from the University of Vienna, Austria.  He also received advanced training in GLP, GMP, and scientific writing. He began his career as a Quality Control Analyst at Highnoon Laboratories in 2004 and later joined as Assistant Professor at GC University Lahore in 2010. Since 2011, he is serving at University of the Punjab, where he now leads research in chemical sensors for environmental, industrial and biological applications.
Dr. Mujahid has authored several peer-reviewed research publications, book chapters, and conference articles. His work has earned significant recognition, including Ernst Mach Fellowships by Austrian Agency for International Cooperation in Education and Research (OeAD), the Pacifichem Early Career Chemist Award, and selection for participation in the 63rd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting in Germany. His current research focuses on developing low-cost electrochemical sensors for a wide variety of analytes including diseases related biomarkers, synthetic and natural hormones, adulterants, and fuels.
