Engr. Dr. Muhammad Haseeb Hassan is currently serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department
of Metallurgy & Materials Engineering, University of the Punjab. He completed his Bachelor’s degree
in Metallurgy and Materials Engineering in 2009 and gained valuable industrial experience by working
for several years as Assistant Manager (Technical) at Millat Equipment Limited, one of Pakistan’s
leading manufacturers of power transmission components. This experience provided him with a
strong practical foundation in materials engineering and manufacturing processes. In 2011, he proceeded to Germany for his MSc studies and formally began his academic and research career in 2014. He served as Research Officer cum Lecturer at the Institute of Quality and Technology Management (IQTM), University of the Punjab, for over three years, contributing actively to teaching, research, and academic development. During this time, he also completed an MBA in Supply Chain Management, reflecting his interdisciplinary expertise. In 2025, Engr. Dr. Hassan earned his PhD in Energy Engineering, specializing in Energy Storage Materials, from the University of Science and Technology, Daejeon, South Korea. During his doctoral studies, he received the Research Excellence Award and was inducted into the University Hall of Fame. Additionally, he gained valuable national-level research experience through a research appointment at Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER), the premier Korean National Energy Laboratory, where he worked on advanced energy materials and electrochemical energy systems. His research interests include heat treatment, physical metallurgy, energy storage materials, and electrochemical energy systems. He has published several research articles in renowned HECapproved national and international journals, including Applied Catalysis B: Environmental and Energy, Energy Chemistry, Chemical Engineering Journal, ACS Applied Energy Materials, International Journal of Hydrogen Energy (IJHE), and Journal of the European Ceramic Society with a cumulative impact factor of more than 100. He has also presented his work at major international conferences, including RISK 2013 (Germany), MS&T;2016 & 2018 (USA), and the Asian SOFC Symposium (Japan). Through his combined academic, industrial, and international research experience, he continues to contribute meaningfully to education and advanced energy materials research. |
