Dr. Ayesha Akram is an Assistant Professor (Ad hoc) at the Institute of English Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, with over a decade of experience in higher education teaching and research. Her academic interests span postcolonial literature, postmodern historiography, film and adaptation studies, digital humanities, and the emerging intersections of artificial intelligence and literary studies. She was awarded a prestigious Visiting Fellowship in Digital Humanities at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA (2019), and subsequently received an HEC Research Fellowship at the University of Exeter, United Kingdom (2019–2020) as part of her doctoral research. Her Ph.D. examined the historiography of Partition-1947 and the cultural impact of visual adaptations of Partition narratives. Dr. Akram has actively contributed to a range of academic initiatives and international educational projects, including collaborations with the British Council and the U.S. Department of State. She regularly presents her research at international forums like the MLA and Northeast MLA Conventions in the United States; with her recent work exploring the implications of Generative AI for literary and cultural studies. |
