Dr. Sonia Omer is an Associate Professor in department of Social Work, University of the Punjab, Lahore. She has been associated with this university since 2008 on permanent basis but it has been seventeen years since (2003) she has been associated with teaching with various levels including bachelors, masters and M.Phil. She has more than ten research articles published in higher education commission of Pakistan recognized journal and she holds a vast experience of research work including presentation of her research articles in USA, UK, GERMANY, FRANCE, AND NAIROBI. She has been a regular presenter in national level conferences, seminars and workshops. She has started appearing as guest lecturer at various forums including her recent online lectures at Menlo College California, USA and lock Haven university Pennsylvania, USA. Her area of interest are gender related matters, socio-economic issues, substance abuse and behavioral counselling and health education.
