Dr. Muhammad Rizwan Safdar is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at the Institute of Social and Cultural Studies (ISCS), University of the Punjab, Lahore. He holds a PhD in Sociology from Government College University, Faisalabad (2019). He has worked with several national and international media houses as Investigative Writer, Multimedia Producer and Desk Editor. Furthermore, Dr. Rizwan has gained hands-on experience in strategic communication, advocacy, capacity building, research and governance monitoring by working in international development projects funded by DFID, UN, UNDEF, The Asia Foundation, The Embassy of Netherlands and British Council. His research interests lie in the areas of family & marriage, culture, gender inequalities, politics and media Sociology.
