I started my professional career in April 2008 when I joined the Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology University of the Punjab as a Research Officer BPS17 on likely to permanent Post. Upgradation to BPS18 was done at 1st January 2010 .I was MPhil in Biochemistry from University of Agriculture Faisalabad (2006) and also enrolled PhD with coursework completed meanwhile I joined this centre and due to probationer period of Government service quit the PhD. I was regular faculty member at Centre of Excellence in Molecular Biology at March 5th, 2015 through selection board headed by then worthy Vice Chancellor.
In 2008 I worked on USAID funded project entitled as characterization of novel triple acting chimeric domain antimicrobials and test their efficacy against known Pakistani mastitis pathogens. I successfully isolated more than hundred drug resistant Staphylococcus aureus gram positive bacteria from Pakistani dairy population. I was also successful in obtaining the relevant phage that had the capability to kill these resistant isolates. In 2012 I served as a visiting faculty member in Government College University Lahore for an MS practical course.
In 2013 to 2014 I was the group leader in DNA extraction for genetic diseased group; maintained the primers and DNA stocks to facilitate the research scholars and also sequenced the deafness gene of some families. In 2015 I joined virology research group and trained three Mphil and three internee students on Insulin resistant pathway via HCV proteins from CEMB session 2015-2016 and from Hazarah University Mansahra respectively. Also assisted an MPhil research scholar from Comsats University, Abbottabad who was working under the Supervision of Dr. M. Idrees Khan Current Vice Chancellor Hazara University Mansehra, KPK.
I am also involved in collaborating working with Lahore General Hospital on Community acquired infections by pathogenic Staphylococcus aureus bacteria. This is aimed at Sequencing the resistant and structural genes in Staphylococcus aureus to characterize the resistance in pathogenic bacteria causing such infections. |
