Dr. Lubna Razaq is an experienced academic with over 11 years of expertise in teaching and
research. Her academic training spans two key disciplines: Statistics and Gender Studies. She
holds an MSc in Statistics, and MSc, M.Phil., and PhD in Gender Studies from the Department
of Gender Studies, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan.
Currently, she serves as an Assistant Professor (Adhoc) in the Department of Gender Studies at
the University of the Punjab, where she has made significant contributions to teaching, research,
and departmental administration.
Administrative and Academic Responsibilities
In addition to her teaching and research duties, Dr. Lubna Razaq has been entrusted with key
administrative roles assigned by the Head of Department. She is currently serving as:
• Convener, Examination and Disciplinary Committee, Department of Gender Studies
• Focal Person for Hostel Affairs, Punjab University
• Focal Person for Career Counseling & Placement Centre, Punjab University
These roles reflect her active involvement in academic governance, student affairs, and career
development initiatives within the department.
Research Focus
Dr. Lubna Razaq’s research primarily focuses on the impact of armed conflict on women’s
health in combat zones. Her work also encompasses public health, gender studies, peace and
security, human rights, and conflict research, with particular attention to the effects of conflict on
vulnerable populations.
