A meeting was held between the eminent professors from University of Leeds, UK (Prof. Dr. Gordon E. Andrews) and Universiti Teknologi Petronas Malaysia (Prof. Dr. M.Ibrahim Abdul Mutalib) and faculty of Institute of Quality and Technology Management and Center of Undergraduate Studies. The management of ORIC (office of research innovation and commercialization) was also present at this occasion. The Director (Prof.Dr. Aamir Ijaz) welcomed the foreign delegates.

Dr. Ibrahim delivered a comprehensive presentation on the research groups established in his university in various disciplines. In the context of MOU signed recently between University of the Punjab and Universiti Teknologi Petronas, Dr. Ibrahim discussed various possibilities in strengthening the academic collaboration between the two universities and offered his assistance in this regard. Dr. Aamir Ijaz appreciated the offer of Dr. Ibrahim and advised the ORIC office to facilitate the PU faculty in this regard. Later, the foreign delegates visited the laboratories of different disciplines established in the School of Physical Sciences and appreciated the vision of Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Mujahid Kamran of Punjab University in strengthening the research culture by providing the state of the art laboratory facilities to Punjab University faculty.
