Dr. Zulfiqar Ali
Dr. Zulfiqar Ali is an Assistant Professor of Statistics at the College of Statistical Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. He earned his Ph.D. in Statistics from Quaid-i-Azam University, Islamabad. During his doctoral studies, he was selected for the HEC International Research Support Initiative Program (IRSIP) of the Higher Education Commission (HEC), Pakistan, through which he conducted collaborative research with Dr. Marco Grzegorczyk at the University of Groningen, the Netherlands. He is a HEC-certified Assistant Professor and has successfully completed the National Outreach Program for Faculty (Tier-I), receiving certification from the National Academy of Higher Education (NAHE), Higher Education Commission (HEC), Islamabad, in collaboration with the University of the Punjab, Lahore. His research focuses on advanced statistical methodologies for climate change, environmental statistics, spatial and spatio-temporal statistics, machine learning, Bayesian modeling, and uncertainty quantification. He has established active national and international research collaborations and has made significant contributions to the application of statistical methods in climate science, hydrology, environmental monitoring, and geospatial data analysis.
