PU VC urges Ummah to following teachings of Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ)


LAHORE: (Thursday, September 18, 2025): Punjab University Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Muhammad Ali has said that the Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ) is a source of blessings on our lives and to be a true lover of the Hazrat Muhammad (ﷺ), it is necessary to live according to his (ﷺ) teachings. He was addressing the Mehfil-e-Milad-ud-Nabi (ﷺ) organized by the PU Milad-ud-Nabi (ﷺ) committee at Faisal Auditorium here on Thursday. On this occasion, religious Scholar Fahad Ali Kazmi, Registrar Dr Ahmed Islam, Treasurer Tasneem Kamran, Controller of Examinations Muhammad Rauf Nawaz, Resident Auditor Hassan Rauf, Patron-in-Chief and Treasurer Home Economics University Muhammad Kashif, Chairman Milad Committee Sanaullah Shah and a large number of employees were present. In his address, PU VC Prof Dr Muhammad Ali said that our faith is not complete without describing the virtues of the Holy Prophet (ﷺ). He said that we should study every aspect of his (ﷺ) life including childhood, youth and professional life. He said that we do not have words to praise Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). He said that we should study books on the biography of Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). He said that we should follow the good example of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) instead of indulging ourselves into sectarian issues. He said that Islam is the greatest religion of the world and Muslims are a great nation, but the Muslim Ummah is suffering difficulties due to its distance from the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ). He praised the members of the Milad Committee, Naat reciters and speakers for organizing the event. In his address, Fahad Ali Kazmi said that the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) is an extraordinary event. He said that the arrival of the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) has brought civilization and awareness to the world. He said that the Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) used to treat not only Muslims but also non-Muslims with kindness. He said that the Ummah needs to remain united instead of dividing itself.
