|  The Department of Technology Education (DTE) , formerly the Department of Industrial Arts, was established at the Institute in 1962. The degree program was initially titled as M. Ed. Technical (Industrial Arts) has been renamed as Master of Technology Education (MTE). Currently, the department is offering BS Technology Education Program pursuing the goals listed below:

    | Departmental AchievementsEvery year the department produces  graduates holding specialization in Industrial Management, and Electricity etc.  Those who achieve excellence, find jobs in various public or private sector  organizations against varying positions in teaching and industry. A few, who  intend to seek higher education, are enrolled in MPhil. in Education after  qualifying the admission test and interview arranged by IER. The graduates of the  Department of Technology Education (DTE) are performing in almost all paces of  human career in technical education, and in managerial capacities both inside  and outside Pakistan. Our graduates have been, and are still performing as  Principals, Managers, Deputy Managers, Assistant Managers, and Production  Managers of most of the TVET Institutes and industrial sector in Pakistan. The  Department is offering 4-year Bachelor of Studies in Technology Education both  in morning and self-supporting programs. The department is successfully running  Prime Minister’s Kamyab Jawan Program to train the youth in  different vocational courses since 2020.
