Dr. Rabya Aslam is an Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology, University of the Punjab, Lahore, Pakistan. She received her PhD in Chemical Engineering from Friedrich Alexander University Erlangen Nürnberg (FAU), Germany. She previously earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of the Punjab, graduating with distinction and receiving Gold Medals in recognition of her outstanding academic performance.
Her research focuses on sustainable chemical process development, catalysis, carbon dioxide utilization, hydrogen and renewable energy systems, reaction engineering, and process simulation. She has authored more than 34 peer reviewed journal publications, with an H-index of 17 and over 1,100 citations. Her research has been supported through nationally competitive funding and addresses challenges in sustainable energy, carbon management, and green chemical technologies.
She teaches undergraduate and postgraduate courses in chemical engineering and actively contributes to curriculum development, Outcome Based Education, and Pakistan Engineering Council accreditation activities. She welcomes academic and industrial collaborations in the areas of sustainable process engineering, carbon utilization, catalysis, and process modelling.
