ICET Celebrates Teachers’ Day, Pays Tribute to Its Faculty

LAHORE, October 5, 2026: The Institute of Chemical Engineering & Technology (ICET), University of the Punjab, celebrated Teachers’ Day at its Seminar Hall to honour the dedication and contributions of teachers to education, students and society.
Prof. Dr. Syed Nadir Hussain paid tribute to all the worthy teachers of ICET, particularly those who are no longer with us, acknowledging their lasting contributions to the Institute and its students. He also highlighted the achievements of ICET faculty members in teaching, research, innovation and professional service. In this context, he proudly mentioned two distinguished former ICET faculty members who are currently serving in prominent national academic positions Prof. Dr. Niaz Ahmad Akhtar (S.I.), Chairman Higher Education Commission, and Prof. Dr. Shahid Munir (T.I.), Vice Chancellor UET Lahore, as examples of the lasting impact and academic excellence of ICET teachers.
