Launching ceremony of Raja Anwar's book held at PU


LAHORE : (Wednesday, April 27, 2011): The launching ceremony of renowned intellectual and political leader Raja Anwar's new book titled “Qabar Ki Aghosh” held here in the Al-Raazi Hall of Punjab University's Centre for Undergraduate Studies on Wednesday. Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran presided over the ceremony while Hassan Nisar, Ajmal Niazi, Dr Amjad Saqib and Soofia Bedar shared their views on the creation of the writer.

Addressing the ceremony, Vice-Chancellor Dr Mujahid Kamran said the essence of Raja Anwar's book lied in its truthfulness and truthfulness made a man the strongest in any difficult situation. He said that saying truth in an environment of lies and pharisalzm is a revolution. He said the creation of Pakistan was a great blessing for us where we respect different thoughts with freedom.

We should appreciate the positive criticism and pay respect to the environment in which we living and adopt such a living style which promote our skills. The Vice-Chancellor read some paragraphs from the book on the occasion. Renowned columnist Hassan Nisar, while terming Raja Anwar as romantic war-fighter, said Raja Anwar spent his whole life in adventure with bravery which was a great success in this deteriorated society.

He said this book was an ideal to understand the problems of this country and the Muslim world. He said Raja Anwar had a unique writing style like his unique living style. Dr Ajmal Niazi said Raja Anwar was an emperor in his heart which is un-conquerable and personalities like Raja Anwar always tried to bring revolution.

He said Islamic revolutionist and political-revolutionist had deceived us. He said writing about revolution is like bringing revolution and Raja Anwar had presented savageness of Afghanistan in his book. Soofia Bedar said the confinement of Raja Anwar had gifted us a book. His book is a reflection of Afghans' emotions and struggle. He said Raja Anwar had found creativity by birth and there was softness in his writing. Sharing views on his book, Raja Anwar said he had narrated very few griefs in his book. He said he was not a fiction writer and he had written his autobiography because true words always touched the heart of readers. He also showed his shirt which he had wore two and half years in Kabul prison.
