Department of Information Technology is the offshoot of University College of Information Technology (UCIT) with the aim to provide a state of the art learning environment to the youth of the nation. The history of the UCIT dates back to 1987 when the Department of Computer Science was established at the University of the Punjab. Lahore. Now the Department of Computer Science has been upgraded to the University College of Information Technology at Lahore.
Department of IT at Gujranwala Campus is an offshoot of UCIT. The department of IT offers a B.Sc. in computer science program to the candidates how have passed Intermediate exam.
