A living or working space is not just composed of walls protecting us against weather and other dangers; it is a complex entity affecting all our sociological and psychological needs. The search for ideal living and working environment is never complete. It is constantly changing and developing with the times and is also rooted deep in our culture and history. The need to understand and fully appreciate the socio-cultural context of the buildings design is fundamental to the solutions we seek. The use of modern building materials and the search for new sources and designs is vital.
