LAHORE: (Monday, July 25, 2022): Federal Education Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain has inaugurated new routes of Muridke and Sharqpur to provide better travel facilities to students and employees of Punjab University coming from remote areas. In this regard, a ceremony was held outside the Vice Chancellor's office. On this occasion, PU VC Prof Dr Niaz Ahmad Akhtar, administrative officers and employees were present. In his address, Rana Tanveer said that he was grateful to PU VC Prof Niaz Ahmad for providing better facilities to the students. Prof Niaz Ahmed Akhtar while briefing the federal minister on the development of the university in the field of education and research said that there has been a significant increase in the international and Asian ranking of Punjab University in the last four years. He expressed the hope that higher education sector in Pakistan would be strengthened further under his leadership.
