LAHORE: (Sunday, February 12, 2023): Punjab University Library has organized introductory talk on the books including ‘Mjmooma: Ahmed Mushtaq’ by Ahmed Mushtaq and ‘Political Conflict in Pakistan’ by Muhammad Waseem. Chief Librarian, Acting Director, Centre for South Asian Studies Prof Dr Rehana Saeed Hashmi, Lecturer from Institute of Urdu Language and Literature Mushtaq Ahmed, faculty members and students were present on the occasion. Dr Rehana Saeed Hashmi presented the talk on the book of ‘Muhammad Waseem’. She described the complicated themes of the political conflict of Pakistan as perceived by Mohammad Waseem. The Urdu book was a collection of Poetry of Ahmed Mushtaq and Mr. Mushtaq presented the introduction in a literary manner. He has not only recited some lovely poetic chunks from the book but also provided a critical biographical sketch of the poet. Dr Muhammad Haroon Usmani thanked the speakers and participants.
