Applications are invited for the post of Research Associates, Laboratory Technician and Accountant for Dr. Muhammad Jawad Munawar’s project (No. PSF/CRP/TH/4/CFP/564) funded by PSF under “Competitive Research Programme” at the Institute of Geology as per following criteria. |

Research Associate |

BS/MSc or MS/MPhil in geology or equivalent, ideally with expertise and working knowledge in sedimentology, petrography, and geochemistry. Knowledge of XRD and XRF analysis is preferable. Possess good communication and writing skills. The post is fixed term for the duration of 6 months. |
The candidate is expected to work on the ongoing project, which includes extensive geological field work, sampling, sample preparation, lab analysis, compilation of results and report writing. |
Rs.25,000/- per month for PhD student and Rs.20,000/- per month for MS/ MPhil students.

Laboratory Technician |
01 |
Intermediate and at least minimum 15 years of experience in a geochemical laboratory. Must have good working knowledge of labware handling, rock sample handling and preparation, and thin-section preparation. The post is fixed term for the duration of 6 months. |
This position is task based, the candidate is expected to work on the ongoing project and make sure smooth completion of lab work; the duties include sample preparation, lab analysis, reporting results and troubleshoot lab issues. |

Typist Cum Accountant |
01 |
B.A and at least minimum 5 years of experience as accountant. Must have good working knowledge of accounts, salaries, and audits.
The post is fixed term for the duration of 6 months. |
This position is task based, the candidate is expected to work on the ongoing project and make sure to maintain expenses of the project; the duties include the account maintenance, salaries payments, purchases, hiring of services and arrange an audit at the end of the project. |
