The programme of study and research of M. Phil. (Pakistan Studies) will be a two year degree programme consisting of four semesters. In the first year (two semesters) of this programme, students shall be expected to complete seven courses and a seminar on a selected issue. The student will be required to complete a total of 24 credit hours course work before taking the comprehensive written examination of M. Phil. Part-I. In the second year of programme students will be doing their research thesis on a topic approved by the Centre’s Research Board. The thesis will be written under the guidance of a supervisor and will be expected to be based on original research findings. The thesis will be of 26 credit hours. The degree will be awarded on completion of 50 credit hours.
