The M. Phil. Program consists of one year course work followed by a one year research project. The purpose of this program is two-fold, (i) to improve the educational standards of the students with M.Sc. Physics degrees and (ii) to train students in high level goal oriented research in accordance with the needs of the country. Thus the M. Phil degree holders are better equipped for the pursuance of further research and teaching.
