Master of Information Technology (MIT) is designed to cater to the needs of students who have got a background in a discipline other than Information Technology and wish to acquire skills in the rapidly advancing field of IT. Graduates will combine the IT skills with those of their previous knowledge in a professional application-oriented setting and prepare themselves for the technological challenges and opportunities of the future arising in all fields including banking, telecommunications, defence, commerce, government, health, education and many other areas. Graduates will develop the skills in the field of computer programming, software design, database management, networking and information system control and audit; demanded by the cyber space employment market.
