MS in Clinical Psychology (Self-Supporting)

MS in Clinical Psychology is two year program. This program enables graduates to apply the concepts of Clinical Psychology to both Practical and Research Work. An extensive training is provided to the students in Psychological Assessment, Therapeutic Intervention, and Research.
It consists of 4 semesters with the subject’s professional Ethics and Legal Issues in Clinical Psychology, Clinical Assessment (Theory, Demonstration and Reporting), Therapeutic Interventions (BT, CBT, REBT, Family Therapy and Drug Rehabilitation), Psychopathology and Neuro-Psychopathology, Psychopharmacology, Case Consultation and Clinical Internship which cover 17 credit hours in first 3 semesters. Further Research Thesis and clinical supervision is additional part of MS more than Advanced Diploma. Total of 32 credit hours are covered in MS.

1020 hours of Clinical Supervised Internship under the supervision of a trained Clinical Psychologist in Hospital Settings. 765 hours of Client Consultation under the Supervision of a trained Clinical Psychologist and Weekly Case Conferences at Centre for Clinical Psychology.

Eligibility:
1st Division / CGPA=2.5 in MA / M.Sc / BS (4 year) in Psychology / Applied Psychology / Clinical Psychology or in the relevant subject from a recognized University (at least 16 years of education; 130 credit hour) in case of graduate from other than Punjab University. Equivalence from Punjab University equivalence cell will be required.
The candidates have to pass an "Entry Test".
For admission in MS top up, Advance Diploma in Clinical Psychology (ADCP) from Centre for Clinical Psychology, University of the Punjab is mandatory.
