Terror suspect’s arrest from IJT Nazim’s room real problem, PU spokesman

LAHORE: (Monday, September 23, 2013): A Punjab University spokesman while reacting to IJT’s press conference has said that the matter was not the efficiency of administration rather the real matter was the arrest of a suspected terrorist from the room of a Nazim of Islami Jamiat Talaba. In a press statement issued here on Monday, the spokesman said that there was an impression in the society that some elements of Isalmi Jamiat Talaba were connected with the terrorist elements and the arrest had proved the impression as true. The spokesman said that action should be taken against the hooligans of IJT according to more than 75 FIRs lodged by the administration to purge university from rogue elements. The spokesman said that Farooq Hameed was illegally occupying room number 114 of PU Hostel No 3 and he should tell that in which department of Punjab University he was studying now? The spokesman said that Farooq Hameed had been a student of a diploma at English department in the past and diploma students were not entitled to hostel accommodation and his diploma course had also been expired. The spokesman said that some days ago, Farooq Hameed along with more than 20 other IJT rogues brutally tortured a PU chowkidar and a estate officer with hockey and rods. Farooq Hameed’s room was then double locked but IJT goons again broke the locks of the room. The spokesman said that IJT hooligans tortured PU employees, abused teachers and even did not take care of female faculty members and they even did not know how to respect teachers. The spokesman said that there was a need to launch operation against those elements who were illegally residing in hostels. The spokesman said that IJT itself was involved in illegal activities and provide shelter to those elements who were involved in terrorist activities in Pakistan and it had proved. The spokesman said that Punjab University had progressed in all the sections under the leadership of Dr Mujahid Kamran and they knew it. He said the biggest hurdle in the progress of university and improvement of qualities of students was the hooliganism of IJT.
