LAHORE: (Wednesday, November 06, 2013): Prof Dr Muhammad Kamran has been appointed as Chairman of PU Oriental College's Urdu Department. He has been serving in the field till 21 years. Dr Kamran got 1 st position in MA Urdu in 1990-92 PU examination while he got his MPhil in 1994 and PhD in 2000 within very short time. He has written eight books and his more than fifty research papers have been published. Dr Kamran has participated in over forty national and international conferences. During his educational career Dr Kamran has clinched three gold medals, two role of honor and hundred plus merit certificates. He has been hosting various radio & TV programs since three decades. PU Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Mujahid Kamran has congratulated him and hoped that Dr Muhammad Kamran will work for the promotion of Urdu in domestic and international level.
