At the conference, Dr. Ameeq Farooq, Assistant Professor, Institute of Metallurgy and Materials Engineering (IMME), Faculty of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of the Punjab, Lahore and the Vice Chair, The Association of Materials Prevention and Protection (AMPP) Pakistan Chapter made a technical presentation titled ‘Effect of climate change on the performance of protective coatings’. The presentation included R&D;carried out by him and his team for the various industrial projects and highlighted the role of Corrosion Control Research Cell (CCRC). Its pertinent to mention that IMME and CCRC also provides testing facilities for coating and corrosion as well as giving recommendations to the industrial clients. In this respect presentation was of immense value to the participants who greatly appreciated the efforts and expertise of the presenter.

The main aim of the conference was to bring together experts and decision-makers from critical sectors to share experience/knowledge/information about the services available which are of immense importance for our national industrial and infrastructure sectors. The event was held on October 17, 2024 at the Faletti’s Hotel in Lahore.

The conference was attended by well over 60 professionals from all over Pakistan.
In the concluding session, the chief guest of the conference Abdul Rashid Loan, CEO, Corporate Liaison, Qarshi Organization shared his life experience and appreciated the efforts of organizer for organizing and conducting excellent conference.
