Admission shall be made on the basis of the Basic Criteria and Additional Criteria, if any, of the individual Institute/Constituent College/Department.

(a) Basic Criteria FOR M.A./M.Sc.:
1 / 4 of total marks obtained in Matriculation plus 1 / 5 of total marks obtained in Intermediate plus total marks of * B.A./B.Sc. etc. Admission shall be made as per order of year of preference mentioned below:

1st A/2009 & 2nd A/2008; ii) 1st A/2008 & 2nd A/2007 ; iii) 1st A/2007 & 2nd A/2006

(b) Additional Credit:
20 marks for **Hafiz-e-Qur'an to be included wherever applicable.

(c) Additional Criteria:
As given against each Institute/Constituent College/Department.

Note: Additional marks, wherever applicable, for any particular subject will be counted only if the said subject was taken as an elective subject.
 

B.A. (Hons.) graduates from Sheikh Zayed Islamic Centre are also eligible to apply against merit seats in the Departments of Arabic, Business administration, English, History, Institute of Education & Research, Islamic Studies, Kashmir Studies, Library & Information Science, Law College, Communication Studies, Administrative Sciences, Social Work, Sociology, Special Education. Their merit shall be determined by multiplying their marks by 0.90 as given on Page 5.

The candidate should produce a certificate from a well established institution to the effect that he/she is Hafiz-e-Qur'an. Moreover, Departmental Admission Committee shall interview the candidate and make sure that the candidate had learnt the Holy Qur'an by heart and could recite it from whatever portion he/she is required to recite
