Ms. Farida Rafique

I have received a M.Sc. in Biostatistics from College of Statistical and Actuarial Sciences, University of the Punjab, Lahore in 2010. Currently, I am student of M. Phil Public Health at the same university. Presently, I am serving the CSAS from October, 2014 as a regular Lecturer of Biostatistics. Here, I am teaching the subjects; Introduction to Biostatistics / Statistics, Survival Models, Research Methodology, Logistic Regression Analysis, Categorical Data Analysis, and Sample Survey Techniques to BS and M.Sc. students. Moreover, I supervise the BS and M.Sc. students in their thesis research. I am also a member of various Committees of the department.
I have more than three years’ experience of working on biostatistics related posts, both in research and academia, at largest healthcare institutes of Pakistan; Directorate General Health Services Punjab (DGHS), Institute of Public Health, and Fatima Jinnah Medical College, Lahore.
With highly motivated organizational skills propelled in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment I have the ability to efficiently writing research protocols/ synopsis, project reports, and research manuscripts for publication. I have strong data management and analytical skills, proficient in the use of softwares; SPSS, Openepi, and Excel. Attended various seminars and workshops. Presented many researches in various International Conferences. Successfully conducted a workshop on SPSS organized by the CSAS. In addition, I have publications to my credit in HEC recognized journals. Besides, I have granted funding by the university to perform a research on “The Quality of Sleep and Psychological Correlates of Poor Sleep Quality among University Students”.
