World Quality Day seminar was organized by Quality Enhancment Cell in collaboration with Institute of Quality & Technology Management on 14th November 2017 at University of the Punjab, Lahore. Vice Chancellor University of the Punjab Dr. Zaffar Mueen Nasar was the chief guest while Prof. Dr. Zahoor Hassan (Former Vice Chancellor, LUMS) and Mr. Kamal Mian (Director, Fast Cables) were the guest Speakers. Deans of different faculties, HOD’s, Faculty members, QEC staff of other universities and large number of students were present on the occasion.

Prof. Dr. Zahoor Hassan talked about how leaders can really transform universities into hub of knowledge creating institutions which is beneficiary to the society at large. Mr. Kamal Mian mentioned that the critical steps for quality assurance in manufacturing sector emphasized the need of strong university industry linkage.
In concluding remarks Vice chancellor Punjab University Prof. Dr. Zaffar Mueen Nasar said that quality will never be compromised in the University of the Punjab, Lahore and standards of quality will be maintained. And he also said that University of the Punjab has targeted to be in the list of top most 500 universities in the world. He also told the participants that every one of us is talented but we need to focus on our vision and we have to pay back to society by our contribution. He asked students to adopt the concepts of quality in their daily life. He appreciated the efforts of Quality Enhancement Cell at University of the Punjab and assured his full support to the initiatives taken by QEC.
